The son of a former vice president of Nigeria by the name of Adam Namadi is asking delegates from Kaduna to refund the N76 million cash he paid to delegates. This was because he lost in the primaries despite the fact that he paid these delegates. Adam Namadi is the son of Namadi Sambo.

Adam Namadi was wishing to become the 2023 flagbearer of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in abid to represent the Kaduna North Federal constituency in the House of Representatives.

however, His hope was short-lived when he only scored two votes in the PDP primary election, placing him 12 votes far behind the runner up. 

Adam Namadi actually paid each delegate N2 million, which is about N76 million, to get the ticket. And he also promised the delegates an addition of N1.5 million each if he clinch the PDP ticket.

But the Incumbent Kaduna North Federal Constituency House of Representatives member won the primary ticket with 22 votes far ahead of Shehu Airman with a total of14 votes. 

Political Party delegates continue to pack home millions of Naira from aspirants aiming to woo them in order to secure political office.

Parliamentarians have cautioned that the monetisation of this kind of political process may likely not present candidates that will be able to deliver what is right for Nigeria
